Privacy Policy (GDPR)

Your privacy and the protection of your personal data are our priority. This policy explains how MAKYDA s.r.o. collects, processes, and protects your personal data when browsing our website and during mutual communication in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council (GDPR).

We process only the personal data that you provide to us through the contact form, email, or by phone, or data necessary for the website to function:

  • Basic identification data: Name and surname, company name, Company ID, VAT ID.

  • Contact data: Email address and phone number.

  • Communication data: Information you provide in the message text when requesting a quote or consultation.

  • Technical data (Cookies): IP address and basic analytical data about how you use our website (for the purpose of ensuring website functionality and basic statistics).

3. For what purpose do we process data and what is the legal basis?

We process your data exclusively for the following purposes:

  • Handling inquiries and communication: If you contact us through the form or email, we need your data (name, email, phone) to respond to you and prepare a quote. The legal basis is a pre-contractual relationship or our legitimate interest.

  • Performance of contract: If you become our client, we process your data for the purpose of delivering services (textile processing) and invoicing. The legal basis is performance of contract and legal obligation (accounting).

  • Website improvement (Legitimate interest): We collect anonymized technical data to understand how visitors use our website and to improve it.

4. How long do we retain your data?

We retain your personal data only for the period necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was obtained:

  • We retain data from the contact form and regular communication for a maximum of 1 year from the last communication, unless a contract is concluded.

  • We are required to retain data relating to contracts and invoicing for the period stipulated by the tax and accounting laws of the Slovak Republic (typically 10 years).

5. Who has access to your data?

We protect your data and do not sell it to third parties. Only authorized employees of MAKYDA s.r.o. have access to it. To the necessary extent, data may be provided to our verified partners (processors) who assist us in ensuring business operations:

  • Web hosting provider and website technical support.

  • External accounting company (in case of contract conclusion and invoicing).

  • All our partners are bound by confidentiality and adhere to strict GDPR standards.

6. What are your rights?

In connection with the processing of your personal data, you have the following rights under the GDPR:

  • Right of access: You may request information about what data we process about you.

  • Right to rectification: If your data is inaccurate or outdated, you have the right to request its correction.

  • Right to erasure (right to be forgotten): You may request that we delete your data if we no longer need it for the purpose for which it was collected, or if the law does not require us to retain it.

  • Right to restriction of processing and right to object: You have the right to request restriction of processing or to object to processing based on legitimate interest.

  • Right to data portability: You may request the transfer of your data to another controller.

You may exercise your rights by sending an email to info@makyda.sk. If you believe that your rights have been violated, you have the option to file a complaint with the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic (Hraničná 12, 820 07 Bratislava).
