Surface Quilting

Surface quilting – precise layer bonding for maximum stability and insulation

In the textile industry, it is crucial for multi-layered materials to retain their shape, functionality, and aesthetics even under demanding use. At MAKYDA s.r.o., we perform professional panel quilting, which firmly secures internal fillings and provides materials with the necessary dimensional stability. Whether you are preparing insulated workwear or manufacturing bedding textiles, our quilted materials are a guarantee of quality you can rely on.

What do you gain from surface quilting?

Surface quilting is a mechanical process in which we join one or more layers of material with regular stitching. This process is not only a matter of design, but primarily of functionality:

  • Filling Fixation: Quilting prevents the shifting of internal insulating layers (such as thermal filling in various grammages), thereby ensuring uniform thermal properties across the entire material surface.
  • Increased Durability: The mechanical bonding of layers enhances the overall strength and stability of the textile sandwich, making it an ideal semi-finished product for further cutting and sewing.
  • Aesthetic Appearance: Regular and precise stitch lines give the resulting product a professional and neat look.

Panel Quilting of Materials: Strength and Flexibility in One

Our technologies are ready for various types of materials and specific requirements:

  • Maximum quilting width: 160 cm
  • Quilting type: straight (straight lines)
  • Needle spacing: standard 5 cm, 7.5 cm, 10 cm, 12.5 cm (other options available as needed)
  • Layer combinations: processing of single and multi-layer materials
(e.g., combinations of lining, thermal filling, and membrane)
  • Suitable materials: natural, polyester, or blended materials, polyester or wool filling in various grammages according to customer specifications

We manufacture functional assemblies ready for immediate processing
